Keep a checked, encrypted local backup of Google Drive and Photos.
Mac Mini Cloud Backup downloads one owner's Google Drive files and Google Photos Takeout archives to an attached drive. It then saves an encrypted Kopia backup on a second drive and proves that backup can be restored.

Check every backup before removing temporary files
The utility runs on the owner's Mac Mini. It uses cloud access only for this backup process.
-
01
Download
Google Drive files and Google Photos Takeout ZIP archives are downloaded to an attached local drive.
-
02
Validate and expand
Each Photos archive passes a ZIP integrity test before its contents are expanded locally.
-
03
Back up and test
The downloaded data goes into an encrypted Kopia repository. The utility verifies the snapshot and performs a separate restore test.
-
04
Remove the processed Takeout file
Only after every check passes does the utility delete that exact Takeout ZIP from Google Drive to free its temporary storage.
Access boundary
Why the app requests Google Drive access
The app reads Drive content for backup and opens Google Takeout archives delivered into Drive. Google's narrower Drive permissions cannot remove the processed Takeout ZIP, so the app requests full Drive access.
The workflow never renames, edits, shares or deletes ordinary Drive files. It deletes only the exact Takeout ZIP after the local backup and restore test pass.
