Scope
Mac Mini Cloud Backup is a private utility operated solely by the Google account owner. It is not offered to the public and has no user registration, advertising, analytics or payment features.
Google data accessed
The utility accesses Google Drive file content and metadata, including Google Photos Takeout ZIP archives delivered into Drive. It also stores the OAuth credentials needed to maintain that authorised connection on the owner’s Mac Mini.
How data is used
Google data is used only to create and verify local backups. Drive files are downloaded to local staging storage. Photos Takeout ZIPs are integrity-tested, expanded and included in an encrypted Kopia snapshot. The utility performs an isolated restore test before considering a backup successful.
Remote deletion
The utility does not delete ordinary Google Drive content. Its only remote deletion is an exact Google Takeout ZIP that has already been downloaded, validated, expanded, snapshotted, verified and restore-tested. This deletion releases Google Drive storage used by the temporary Takeout delivery file.
Storage and protection
Backup data is stored on locally attached external drives controlled by the account owner. The secondary backup is held in an encrypted Kopia repository. OAuth configuration remains in a mode-restricted local file and is not included in this website or source control.
Sharing and disclosure
Google user data is not sold, rented, used for advertising or shared with third parties. The website itself does not use analytics, cookies, forms or external scripts.
Retention and control
Local backup retention is controlled by the account owner through the backup repository’s retention settings. The owner can revoke the app’s Google access from their Google Account and remove local backup data at any time.
Google API Services User Data Policy
The utility’s use of information received from Google APIs follows the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.
Contact
Privacy questions can be sent to the developer contact address displayed on the app’s Google OAuth consent screen.
